What to Expect in Splitgate 2’s Open Alpha Test
According to 1047 Games' Lead Writer, Nate Dern (via the PlayStation Blog), the Open Alpha features crossplay and a brand-new 24-player mode: Multi-Team Portal Warfare. Three teams of eight will battle across Splitgate's largest map yet, experimenting with new weapons, perks, and equipment alongside the classic frantic gameplay.
The original Splitgate's beloved portal mechanics remain central, allowing for those insane outplays and trick shots. While the sequel introduces new classes (or factions) with unique abilities, the core portal gameplay, shaped by player feedback, promises a defining FPS experience.
