You play as Wright, a young apprentice under the tutelage of Yuisil, the Witch of Portals, within the enigmatic Ancient Library. Wright's journey takes him through the pages of four magical books, each transporting him to a distinct and richly detailed world. One book might find you aiding a princess knight in reclaiming a fallen kingdom, while another plunges you into the shadowy mysteries of the underworld. Crucially, your choices shape these worlds, ensuring each playthrough offers a fresh and unpredictable experience.
What Awaits in Novel Rogue?
At its core, Novel Rogue features a dynamic turn-based card battle system that adapts to the book you're currently exploring. Each of the four worlds boasts its own unique deck-building mechanics. After each battle, you'll choose from three new cards, meticulously crafting the ultimate deck to conquer your foes.
Strategic depth is further enhanced by the "Change" command, allowing you to redistribute damage among your allies, and the "Novel Power" mechanic, which lets you strengthen your deck using ink. For those seeking a greater challenge, the Deep Record mode significantly increases dungeon difficulty, promising high-stakes battles and rewarding victories.
Beyond combat, you'll collect treasures to strengthen your relationships with characters, unlocking special endings as you progress. Aesthetic customization is also available through Witch Stones, allowing you to personalize your character's appearance with your favorite outfits.
