Eldgear's Story: A World on the Brink
Argenia is transitioning from a medieval past into a magically-infused future. Hundreds of nations vie for power in largely unexplored territories, setting the stage for intense conflict. The discovery of ancient ruins brimming with potent magical technology ignites a fierce war, which eventually subsides, leaving behind a fragile peace and constant underlying tension.
Enter Eldia, a global task force central to the game's narrative. Their mission: to prevent the ancient weapons and machines from sparking another catastrophic war. They research, monitor, and control access to these powerful ruins, striving to maintain stability.
Strategic Combat with Unique Mechanics
Eldgear's combat system, while turn-based and strategically rich, incorporates intriguing mechanics. The EMA (Embedding Abilities) system allows you to equip three abilities per unit, usable at any time. These range from stat boosts to tactical abilities like Stealth for evasion or bodyguard functions.
The EXA (Expanding Abilities) system unlocks when your Tension meter maxes out during battle, unleashing devastating special attacks.
