Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: A Closer Look at Village Life and Recent Controversy
Warhorse Studios continues to unveil aspects of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, focusing this time on village activities. Players will experience a richer, more interactive world where protagonist Henry can engage in a variety of activities, including drinking, shepherding, archery (both crossbow and bow), prayer, hunting, and assisting villagers, such as finding antidotes for the injured.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is slated for release on February 4, 2025.
However, the game has recently faced controversy. Following the discovery of certain in-game elements, activist groups launched a campaign to cancel the game. Figures like Grummz and other self-described "agenda-driven" campaigners have amplified this effort.
Speculation about specific content and the inclusion of "progressive" themes intensified after news broke of the game's ban in Saudi Arabia. This sparked online backlash against the developers, with calls to cancel the game and discourage further funding.
In response to the online furor, Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, urged the public to trust the developers and to critically evaluate information found online.
