Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas, sparking an attempt to cancel the project. The controversy gained momentum after news of the game's ban in Saudi Arabia surfaced online, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes. This led to attacks on the developers across social media, with calls to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and discourage support for the studio.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to these rumors, urging the public to trust the developers and not believe everything found online. He also announced that review codes would be distributed "in the coming days" following the game's gold master completion in early December. These codes are expected to be sent four weeks prior to release, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their previews and reviews. Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are anticipated just a week later.
