Secure the Dogwood Village Bow Early and Free in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving you under-equipped. This guide shows you how to obtain the Dogwood Village Bow early and without spending a single groat.
After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location conveniently marks the bow's whereabouts on your map. Even if you opt for the miller's path, locating this early weapon is a simple detour.
The blacksmith's workshop is situated in Tachov, north of Troskowitz (where the prologue concludes). Travel west from Troskowitz, following the road north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable area houses a small training ground.
Within this cluster, you'll find a target riddled with arrows (free ammo!). To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. You'll also find brew and mushrooms nearby. Once you've gathered your supplies, resume your quest.
Alternative Acquisition:
While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most potent ranged weapon. Considering its proximity to the free bow, purchasing it is inefficient. However, Vitek offers superior weapons, and you can supplement your funds through alchemy.
Regardless of your chosen method, having a ranged weapon significantly improves combat, especially given the game's fixed difficulty. Melee combat might not suit all players, making ranged options invaluable.
After acquiring the bow, you can continue your blacksmith apprenticeship (saving after forging a sword), or proceed with the miller's quest.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
