Lunar Remaster Collection Release Date Unveiled

The highly anticipated Lunar Remastered Collection launches April 18th, bringing the classic RPG duology to modern platforms. Developed by Game Arts and published by GungHo Online Entertainment, this collection will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S compatibility).

This remaster offers a modernized experience with updated visuals, a re-recorded soundtrack, and numerous quality-of-life improvements. Features include fully voiced dialogue in English and Japanese (with French and German subtitles), a classic mode for nostalgic players, faster combat, and an auto-battle function. These enhancements, now common in remasters of older JRPGs, aim to streamline gameplay while preserving the original charm.

Physical copies will be available in select North American and European stores. The collection's announcement during a 2024 Sony State of Play surprised and delighted many long-time fans of the series, which originally debuted on the Sega CD in 1992.
