Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Launch with the Fantastic Four
Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This expanded offering is a direct result of the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group.
This supersized season includes:
- Three New Maps: Explore iconic New York City locations – the Sanctum Sanctorum (available at launch, featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
- The Fantastic Four's Arrival: Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) debut with the Season 1 launch. The Thing and Human Torch will join the roster in a mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.
- Extended Gameplay: Expect a significantly longer season than usual, roughly six months, due to the increased content.
While the expanded Season 1 content is exciting news, the absence of Blade from the initial roster has disappointed some fans. However, future seasons may still hold possibilities for the popular vampire hunter.
The developers have not yet commented on how this oversized first season will affect the future release schedule of new heroes, maps, or game modes.
