Early melee combat in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* can be brutal. But there's a game-changer: the Master Strike. This guide shows you how to learn and use it.
Learning the Master Strike in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*
To learn the Master Strike, you'll need to complete a side quest. After the tutorial, find Bara the beggar in Troskowitz. She'll point you to Tomcat, triggering the "Combat Training" questline.
Tomcat resides in the Nomads' Camp, near the Cumans' Camp and Bozhena's Hut. Complete "Combat Training I," then save your game before tackling the much harder "Combat Training II." Defeating Tomcat in this second challenge unlocks the Master Strike. While you can attempt this early, boosting your Strength stat beforehand is highly recommended. Saving before each attempt is crucial, as failure leaves Henry significantly weakened.
How to Use the Master Strike
The Master Strike is a sword-only technique. During combat, observe your opponent's weapon position. Hold your sword in the opposite direction (e.g., if they attack from the left, hold your sword to the right).
As your opponent attacks, a green shield icon appears. Press the attack button while your sword is positioned opposite your opponent's. This executes the Master Strike, parrying the attack and unleashing an unblockable counter. Precise timing and correct sword positioning are key.
The Master Strike is incredibly powerful, significantly simplifying many combat encounters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
