However, others, including weapons and drones, boast a "battery life" that can be restored using Energy Crystals. You'll notice a container in your truck at the start of the game, which is crucial for charging these items, albeit at the cost of one Energy Crystal per charge.
When you buy additional Energy Crystals, they seamlessly integrate into the container, eliminating the need for manual installation. To recharge an item, simply place it in the yellow bucket adjacent to the container, and watch as it regains its vitality. Yet, the intensity of some levels can lead to rapid item deterioration. While you can charge items at designated spots using Energy Crystals, you won't always have your truck nearby. How to Get and Use the Recharge Drone in R.E.P.O.
The Recharge Drone, like other items and upgrades, is available at the Service Station, accessible after successfully completing a level. This station offers a range of tools to ease your journey through the game, provided you have the funds.
Given that items at the Service Station appear randomly, it might take several visits before the Recharge Drone becomes available. Once it does, you can purchase it for between $4,000 and $5,000. This compact cube will occupy one of your inventory slots, so choose a slot (1, 2, or 3) wisely after purchase.
You'll notice your items' health status via the battery bar beneath them. To recharge, select the drone, press 'E' to activate it, and then attach your depleted item.
