Since the debut of *Star Trek: Discovery* in 2017, the franchise has been making significant strides in the modern era, culminating with the recent release of *Star Trek: Section 31* on Paramount+. While *Section 31* might not have met everyone's expectations, there have been several standout moments that hold their own among the best of *Star Trek*.
With *Section 31* representing the lower end of the spectrum and *Strange New Worlds* shining brightly at the top, it's the perfect time for fans to voice their opinions and rank the modern *Star Trek* series. Even though *Section 31* is technically a movie, we're including it in our rankings since it originated as a planned series.
You have the opportunity to create your own tier list and compare it with the broader IGN community. Do you believe *Strange New Worlds* should reign supreme? Or do you think *Discovery* deserves a higher grade than its current D rating? The choice is yours!
### Star Trek Series of the Modern EraPersonally, I found the third season of *Picard* to be exceptional, more than compensating for the shortcomings of the first two seasons, which earns it an A in my book. *Prodigy* also holds a special place in my heart, essentially serving as the *Voyager* sequel I never knew I needed, and I believe it deserves at least a B, if not higher!
