Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, and Niantic has shared all the exciting details about what players can expect. This season introduces fresh challenges, new weapons, a Season Pass, and introduces several monsters, officially launching on March 6th, 2025.
Preparing for Season 5
Even before Season 5 begins, there’s a special event featuring the debut of Chatacabra on February 28th. This marks its first appearance in Monster Hunter Now, preceding its introduction in Monster Hunter Wilds. When the season kicks off, Glavenus and Arzuros will also join the fray.
Weapon mechanics are receiving balance adjustments to ensure each weapon type remains engaging and competitive. The Sword & Shield is being enhanced to make targeting breakable parts like tails simpler. Additionally, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will deliver stronger results for well-timed taps, offering more satisfying combinations.
The Guard skill is getting a significant upgrade. Previously, increasing Guard levels had minimal impact, but now higher skill levels will effectively reduce incoming damage during blocks. More updates are coming, with full patch notes set to release on March 6th.
Additional Highlights
For players overwhelmed by cluttered inventories, Season 5 introduces an Item Box Expansion as a Supply Item, providing an additional 250 slots to manage your loot.
As part of Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary on March 17th, a new feature will roll out, allowing players to trade special materials obtained from hunts and events for valuable rewards. Expect to find options like Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards among the available trades.
