Top players have previously voiced concerns about the insufficient prize money, highlighting that it's not financially viable to travel internationally for tournaments that offer only a few hundred dollars in winnings.

This year, we're likely to see two distinct groups of players: one competing in North American tournaments and the other in Europe. These groups will only converge at EVO 2025, which is widely regarded as the tournament of the year.
