A Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer has uncovered strong evidence suggesting the addition of Hara-Kiri Fatalities, rebranded as Quitalities, in a future update.
Redditor InfiniteNightZ shared a video showcasing what appear to be Hara-Kiri animations within the game's files. Hara-Kiri finishers, initially featured in Mortal Kombat: Deception (2004), allow defeated players to perform a self-inflicted fatality. The video, linked below, notably includes animations for recently added DLC characters like Ghostface, bolstering the likelihood of their inclusion. InfiniteNightZ stated, "After seeing that they're adding it to the downloaded roster now, I think it's highly possible."

InfiniteNightZ theorizes these animations will function as Quitalities, referencing their designation within the game's code. Quitalities, instant finishers triggered by player quits in multiplayer, are a series staple. "They are listed as Quitalities, there's still hope," InfiniteNightZ commented.
Following this discovery, prominent Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer Interloko unearthed additional Hara-Kiri animations.
Thanks @MatthewDim40523 for tagging me.
Here are another 2 missing from the video, so looks like only Omniman and Conan don't have one.I didn't try to trigger it in the game because I'm busy finishing some stuff for the demo of my own game [link to game demo] pic.twitter.com/hL4QzLRXwf

While promising, official confirmation from NetherRealm or Warner Bros. Games regarding Quitalities in Mortal Kombat 1 is still pending.
The recent addition of a secret Floyd fight and the community's collaborative efforts to decipher his unlock conditions have reignited interest in the game. Furthermore, the upcoming T-1000 guest character and the potential for more DLC add to the anticipation, though unconfirmed by NetherRealm.
