Dogs are the best companions in any video game, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is no exception. Mutt, Henry's loyal canine companion, unfortunately goes missing early in the game. This guide will show you exactly how to find him.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mutt Location
While there's a side quest involved in finding Mutt, here's a shortcut. He's located near a wolf cave southwest of the Nomads' Camp, just east of the river bathing spot. See the screenshot below for his exact location.

The easiest route is to fast travel to the Nomads' Camp, then follow the path southwest into the forest. This will lead you directly to the cave. You'll hear Mutt whining as you approach. Follow the sound, and you'll find him with a pack of wolves near the cave entrance.

Approaching triggers a cutscene. You'll then have the option to fight the wolves or flee. While wolves aren't overly difficult in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, fighting them provides a good opportunity to gain some experience.
After defeating (or escaping) the wolves, Mutt will be yours. Hold L1 while looking at him to interact, allowing you to feed him or send him home.
Finding Mutt During the Invaders Side Quest
Interestingly, you might stumble upon the wolf cave while completing the "Invaders" side quest, particularly if you interact with the Cumans. After drinking with them, Henry follows Vasko uphill to find more liquor, leading directly to the cave. This will trigger the cutscene with Mutt and the wolves, forcing you to fight or flee while intoxicated.
It's strongly recommended to rescue Mutt before continuing the "Invaders" quest. Dealing with wolves while drunk and in the dark is significantly more challenging. Even fleeing becomes hazardous due to impaired vision and the risk of falling.
That's how to find Mutt in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Check out The Escapist for more game tips and information.
