Let the demon hunting begin. Netflix is bringing the iconic video game series Devil May Cry to life with a thrilling anime adaptation, and they've just dropped a tantalizing new trailer to whet our appetites. But the excitement doesn't stop there: the legendary late voice actor Kevin Conroy will posthumously lend his voice to the series, adding another layer of anticipation for fans.

Conroy, celebrated for his iconic portrayal of Bruce Wayne and Batman in numerous animated projects, takes on the role of VP Baines, a new character introduced through voiceover at the start of the trailer.

PlayBack in July 2024, Conroy's posthumous performance in *Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 3* received widespread acclaim, and now fans will have another chance to enjoy his remarkable talent following his passing in November 2022 at the age of 66. Joining him in the cast are Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, Chris Coppola as Enzo, and Johnny Yong Bosch as the titular character, Dante.

According to Netflix's official synopsis, “Sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.”

Adi Shankar, known for his work on films like the 2012 Dredd reboot, Killing Them Softly, and The Voices, will serve as the showrunner for this series. He is also set to executive produce an adaptation of Assassin’s Creed, although its long-awaited debut remains uncertain since its announcement in 2017.

Studio Mir, renowned for their contributions to The Legend of Korra and X-Men ‘97, will handle the production of this new series. Devil May Cry is slated to hit Netflix screens on April 3, 2025.
