Black Ops 6: Infection and Nuketown Arrive This Week!
Just days after its launch, Black Ops 6 is already expanding its content with the addition of two highly-anticipated fan favorites. This follows a recent update addressing several player-reported issues.
Infection and Nuketown: Get Ready to Play!
Treyarch, the developers behind Black Ops 6, took to Twitter (X) to announce the exciting news: "Launch was only the beginning. Tomorrow, the Infected are coming to play. Nuketown joins the party on Friday. LFG!" The popular "Infected" mode, a zombie-survival twist on multiplayer, arrives tomorrow. Following closely behind, the iconic Nuketown map drops on November 1st. Originally featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010), Nuketown's 1950s nuclear test site setting promises intense close-quarters combat. Activision previously confirmed plans for regular post-launch content additions, ensuring Black Ops 6 continues to evolve. The game launched on October 25th with 11 standard multiplayer modes, including variations with disabled Scorestreaks and a Hardcore mode.
Black Ops 6 Update: Bug Fixes and More to Come
A recent update addressed several issues affecting both multiplayer and Zombies modes. Team Deathmatch, Control, Search & Destroy, and Gunfight have received XP and weapon XP rate increases. Activision stated, "Our team is closely monitoring XP rates for all modes to ensure players are progressing as expected wherever they play." Here's a summary of resolved issues:

- Loadouts: The last-selected loadout is now correctly highlighted in the Loadouts menu.
- Operators: An animation issue with Bailey's Operator menu has been fixed.
- Settings: The 'Mute Licensed Music' setting now functions correctly.

- Babylon: Exploits allowing players to leave the intended playspace have been closed.
- Lowtown: Exploits allowing players to leave the intended playspace have been closed.
- Red Card: Exploits allowing players to leave the intended playspace have been closed. Stability in Red Card has also been improved.
- General: Issues with in-game interaction stability have been addressed.
Multiplayer:
- Matchmaking: The issue preventing quick replacement of players who left matches has been resolved.
- Private Matches: Private matches will no longer forfeit if a team has zero players.
- Scorestreaks: The continuous Dreadnought missile sound issue has been fixed.
While some issues, such as dying on loadout selection in Search & Destroy, remain, developers Treyarch and Raven Software are actively working on fixes.
