Dungeonborne, the PvPvE action game drawing inspiration from the popular Dark and Darker, is shutting down. Less than a year after launch, the developers have announced the end of support and the closure of its servers, citing low player activity and a lack of substantial updates.
While the game's Steam page remains accessible via direct link, it's no longer discoverable through the platform's search function. The official statement offers no specific reasons for the closure, but the dwindling player base speaks volumes. Since late 2024, concurrent player counts rarely exceeded 200, recently plummeting to a mere 10-15 players.
Dungeonborne's servers will be permanently offline as of May 28th, bringing a premature end to this promising title. Despite initial interest from fans of the genre, the game ultimately failed to reach its full potential.
