As expected, the interaction quickly sours, leading to Peacemaker storming out—visibly frustrated and demoralized.

This early look gives fans a glimpse at some of the supporting characters who will play a role in James Gunn’s upcoming *Superman* film. *Peacemaker* Season 2 is set to premiere on August 21, following the theatrical release of *Superman* on July 11. This positions *Peacemaker* as the third installment in Gunn and Peter Safran’s reimagined DC Universe (DCU). The universe reboot officially began with the *Creature Commandos* animated series late last year, marking a clean break from the previously maligned DC Extended Universe (DCEU), which included films like *Justice League*, *Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice*, and *Man of Steel*—though not everything will be discarded completely.
The *Peacemaker* series serves as a prime example of this transition. Season 1 was originally part of the now-defunct DCEU continuity, but Season 2 seamlessly transitions into the new DCU framework. Additionally, Gunn has clarified that *Peacemaker* Season 2 will take place after both *Creature Commandos* and *Superman*, with the events of the latter having direct consequences on Peacemaker himself.
