People Can Fly, renowned for developing Bulletstorm and co-developing Gears of War: E-Day, has entered into an exciting new agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment. This collaboration is set to bring forth a new game, codenamed Project Delta, which is described as a work-for-hire project. While the specifics of Project Delta remain under wraps, the partnership underscores the studio's growing portfolio and its commitment to delivering innovative gaming experiences.
People Can Fly is currently juggling multiple projects, each with its own unique codename. Among these are Project Gemini, developed in partnership with Square Enix, which unfortunately saw a reduction of 30 developers last year. There's also Project Echo, a collaboration with Krafton, and Project Red, which appears to be another venture with Sony. Additionally, the studio recently announced that Project Bison would mark their final venture into virtual reality.
In recent developments, People Can Fly made the decision to suspend work on Project Victoria last December and scale down Project Bifrost. Earlier in April, the studio also cancelled Project Dagger, an anticipated action-adventure game in partnership with Take-Two Interactive. Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly remains highly active with a total of eight known projects in various stages of development. This includes the much-anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, developed in collaboration with The Coalition, though a release date for this title has yet to be announced. Meanwhile, Project Gemini, in partnership with Square Enix, is slated for a 2026 release.
With a robust lineup of projects and strategic partnerships, People Can Fly continues to solidify its position as a key player in the gaming industry, promising fans a diverse array of future titles to look forward to.
