Pikmin Bloom is all set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is pulling out all the stops to make it a memorable event. Kicking off on May 1st, 2025, the celebration promises to bring back some nostalgic gadgets, making it a must-play for fans.
The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted players with a variety of fun decor, including Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. This time, for its 3.5th anniversary, the game is introducing classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s, offering a delightful trip down memory lane.
Adding to the nostalgia, Niantic is also introducing a Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin, paying homage to Nintendo's roots in the playing card industry before they ventured into video games. These designs are inspired by Nintendo’s vintage playing card decks, making them a special treat for long-time fans.
The event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, giving you an entire month to engage with the event missions and collect these unique Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward you with random items such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will also appear, and smashing them can yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other valuable items. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms, adding an extra layer of strategy to the game.
Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May
May brings a special treat with the blooming of big flowers such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses. You can encourage these blooms by planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.
Additionally, the nectar update means that fruit from mushrooms in May will provide nectar for both regular and special flowers, including carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
Beyond these exciting updates, the 3.5th anniversary will also feature a Community Day. Don't miss out on the fun—download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready to celebrate!
