My Father Lied, a point-and-click adventure game from solo developer Ahmed Alameen, is set to launch May 30th. Uncover the mystery surrounding your father's disappearance in this narrative-driven puzzler inspired by Mesopotamian history.
Play as Huda, a young woman who begins investigating her father's twenty-year-old disappearance after discovering a previously unknown sibling. Alameen, initially a narrative designer collaborating on the project, took the reins after the team dissolved, mastering game design to complete his vision.
Solve puzzles using classic point-and-click mechanics, piecing together images, deciphering codes, and exploring atmospheric environments. Alameen cites Myst, Heaven's Vault, and the works of H.P. Lovecraft as influences. A blend of 2D and 360-degree imagery, including hand-crafted cutscenes, delivers high-quality visuals optimized for even low-spec PCs.
My Father Lied will be available on May 30th for $10.99/€ on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam (add to your wishlist now!). Mobile pre-registration isn't currently available. Follow Lunar Games on X, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram for updates. A Kickstarter campaign is also in the works, so stay tuned!
