What's in Store for the Pokémon Go New Year's 2025 Event?
The Pokémon Go New Year's 2025 event runs from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While this year's event doesn't introduce new Pokémon, Shiny variants, or costumes, there's still plenty of festive fun to be had.
Expect increased wild spawns of Jigglypuff (with a ribbon), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (in a party hat), all with boosted Shiny rates. Event bonuses include a generous 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws, and celebratory fireworks will add to the festive atmosphere.
Tier One raids feature a Pikachu sporting a snowflake beanie, while Tier Three raids offer Raticate and Wobbuffet, both in party hats, with increased Shiny chances. Keep an eye out for themed Pokémon encounters in Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases.
