Niantic has exciting news for Pokémon Go players in Chile and India with the launch of the Wayfarer Challenge. This unique event allows trainers to actively participate in shaping their local Pokémon Go experience by reviewing and approving Wayspot nominations on the Niantic Wayfarer platform. By doing so, you'll not only help bring new PokéStops and Gyms to life but also earn exclusive rewards as part of special milestone achievements.
The Wayfarer Challenge is scheduled to run from March 7th to 9th in Chile and from March 10th to 12th in India. During these dates, you're encouraged to nominate real-world locations such as landmarks, sculptures, and street art to be transformed into PokéStops and Gyms within the game.
Participating in the event involves reviewing nominations, which contributes to reaching community milestone goals. If the community manages to resolve 5,000 nominations, every participant will be rewarded with 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Should the community achieve 10,000 approvals, the rewards become even more enticing, with 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg up for grabs.
To join in on the fun, you need to be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have a Niantic Wayfarer account. Newcomers to the platform will first need to complete the Wayfarer Orientation to start reviewing nominations.
Eligibility for the event requires that you've recently played Pokémon Go in Chile or India, or you've set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. To qualify for the rewards, you must review at least 50 nominations, and at least one community milestone must be achieved.

Simultaneously, the PokéStop Challenge event will be running from March 9th to 12th, exclusive to Chile and India. This event offers 3x XP for your first visit to new PokéStops, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and increased chances to encounter Kecleon. Additionally, Event Field Research will provide opportunities to encounter Eevee, while Timed Research tasks will allow you to catch various other Pokémon.
