This thrilling news comes directly from IO Interactive’s website, where they revealed that the game will introduce an entirely new narrative within the iconic Bond universe.
"Players will step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story," the developer stated, setting the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable gaming experience. This fresh take on the Bond saga aims to captivate players by allowing them to witness the legendary spy's journey from the beginning.
In an interview with IGN back in October, IO Interactive's Head, Hakan Abrak, shared insights into the development of this new origin story. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he explained, emphasizing the creative freedom they have embraced. Abrak further expressed his enthusiasm for the project, noting, "It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond. It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers.
