Get ready, racing fans! Kunos Simulazioni Studios is bringing Assetto Corsa EVO to Steam Early Access on January 16, 2025, marking a significant date for sim racing enthusiasts.
The initial release will feature a robust selection of 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite being in Early Access, expect highly refined physics, precise handling, and incredibly realistic car behavior.
A standout feature is the inclusion of a free-roam mode. A substantial summer 2025 update is planned, introducing a vast, laser-scanned open world encompassing the legendary Nürburgring and its surrounding roads. This expansive environment will initially cover 1600 square kilometers, with further expansion promised.
Assetto Corsa EVO aims to challenge established sim racing giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, boasting photorealistic visuals and cutting-edge physics.
The full launch version is projected to include 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with additional content slated for free post-launch updates. Expect incredibly detailed track recreations, including dynamic tire wear, wet track conditions, and animated spectators for an immersive experience.
Developers have also refined car dynamics, suspension, and shock absorption. Early Access will include the Driving Academy mode, offering timed challenges across the available tracks. Earning a license within this mode will unlock access to the game's most prestigious vehicles.
