The final day of the Six Invitational is always a big day for Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Siege fans, traditionally marked by significant announcements. This year, the spotlight shone on Rauora, the newest Attack operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's unique ability centers around the DOM launcher, a deployable bulletproof shield designed specifically for doorways. While impervious to small arms fire, it's vulnerable to explosives. A clever twist: anyone can trigger the shield's opening mechanism, but the activation time differs depending on the shooter. Attackers enjoy a swift one-second deployment, while defenders face a three-second delay—a critical advantage in defuser situations.

Adding to the excitement, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2, a new fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and high-capacity magazine. Players can also choose between the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle as alternative primary weapons.
Rauora will be playable on the Rainbow Six Siege test servers next week, with a wider release on the live servers to follow shortly thereafter.
