Dive into the thrilling world of *R.E.P.O.*, the cooperative horror game that challenges up to six players to navigate physics-based retrieval missions across various maps. The goal? To locate and extract valuables without losing your progress. Here's how you can ensure your hard work in *R.E.P.O.* doesn’t go to waste by saving your game effectively.
How to Save Your Game in *R.E.P.O.*
One of the most frustrating experiences for gamers is losing unsaved progress. This is especially true in new games like *R.E.P.O.*, where autosave features might not be immediately clear. Understanding the save mechanics is crucial to avoid starting over from scratch.
In *R.E.P.O.*, there's no manual save option; the game autosaves only when you complete a level. If you quit during a retrieval mission or die (which sends you to the Disposal Arena), your progress won't be saved. Upon death, your save file is deleted, and exiting mid-level means you'll have to restart from the beginning of that level.
To save your game, you need to successfully finish a level. Once you've collected all valuables, head to the Extraction Point, board the truck, and press the message button above your head to signal the Taxman. This action will take you to the Service Station, where you can shop and prepare for the next level. Use the same button to proceed to your next location.
It's only safe to exit to the main menu or quit the game once you've left the Service Station and arrived at the next location. If you're playing in a multiplayer setting, the host is responsible for exiting at the right time to ensure the game saves correctly for all players. When the host quits, all other players will be disconnected.
