How Doctor Doom 2099 Works in Marvel Snap
Doctor Doom 2099 is a 4-cost, 2-power card with a unique ability: "After each turn, add a DoomBot 2099 to a random location if you played (exactly) 1 card." DoomBot 2099 (also 4-cost, 2-power) provides an ongoing buff: "Ongoing: Your other DoomBots and Doom have +1 Power." This buff applies to both DoomBot 2099s and regular Doctor Doom.
The strategy revolves around playing exactly one card per turn after summoning Doom 2099. This maximizes DoomBot 2099 deployment, potentially generating significant power. Early deployment of Doom 2099, or extending the game with Magik, amplifies this effect. Ideally, Doom 2099 becomes a 17-power card (or more) under optimal conditions.
However, there are drawbacks. The random placement of DoomBots can be detrimental, potentially handing locations to your opponent. Furthermore, Enchantress (especially after its recent buff) completely negates the DoomBot 2099 power boost.
