League of Legends has been increasingly embracing its musical elements in recent years, from the iconic Arcane soundtrack to the quirky K/DA idol-MOBA crossover. Now, the beloved auto-battler Teamfight Tactics is bringing back a fan-favorite set with the Revival: Remix Rumble event, launching at 5 PM PT today (which translates to tomorrow for UK players) and running until July 29th.
So, what is Remix Rumble? This music-themed set introduces new augments that enhance specific characters. For instance, K/DA champions benefit from the Mesmerising Performance and Rap Queen augments, among others, which can amplify their effects or alter gameplay dynamics in exciting ways.
Interestingly, the current Teamfight Tactics set will not be replaced but will instead complement the revival. The opening encounters will feature Hacks, a key mechanic from the Cyber City set. You might encounter Ahri, who upgrades your Headliners to appear as if they are one level higher, Akali, who boosts Headliner champions with an additional trait, and Zac, who introduces the Cyber City hacks into your gameplay.
Alongside these exciting additions, the much-requested Revival Ladder is making a comeback. This progression system allows you to unlock new ranks and rewards based on your skill and style of play. Additionally, an event pass is available for 975 RP, offering a range of Remix Rumble-themed rewards and introducing a new little legend, the Pentakill Siege Minion.
While Teamfight Tactics may differ significantly from League of Legends in terms of genre and gameplay, it certainly brings the fun and excitement of the iconic MOBA to mobile platforms.
