SD Gundam G Generation Eternal: US Network Test Announced!
Contrary to speculation, SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is alive and well! Bandai Namco is holding a network test open to players in the US, in addition to Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong. Applications are now open until December 7th, offering 1500 lucky participants a sneak peek from January 23rd to 28th, 2025.
This latest installment in the strategy JRPG franchise lets players command a vast roster of pilots and mecha from the iconic Gundam universe, engaging in grid-based tactical combat. The game boasts an incredibly extensive selection of characters and mobile suits from across the Gundam series' history.
While the Gundam franchise is globally recognized, the SD Gundam line might be less familiar to some. "Super Deformed" SD Gundam kits feature smaller, stylized versions of the classic mecha, once enjoying such immense popularity they even surpassed the original designs!
A US Debut
Gundam fans are sure to eagerly anticipate this new SD Gundam title. However, Bandai Namco's Gundam game releases have had a somewhat inconsistent track record in the past, with some falling short of expectations or facing premature cancellation. Let's hope SD Gundam G Generation Eternal (a mouthful, indeed!) proves to be a high-quality addition to the series.
