New 'Squid Game' Content Announced Ahead of Season 2

Squid Game: Unleashed is celebrating Season Two with a massive content drop! Get ready for new characters, a fresh map, and exciting challenges. Plus, exclusive rewards await those who watch the new episodes!

Netflix's surprising holiday release of Squid Game: Unleashed—a free-to-play battle royale game—to all players, subscribers and non-subscribers alike, is now being further bolstered by Season Two-themed content. These new rewards incentivize non-users to check out the show!

What's in store for existing players? Starting January 3rd, a new map inspired by the Mingle mini-game from Squid Game Season Two will launch. Playable avatars Geum-Ja, Yong-Sik, and rapper Thanos will also debut throughout January.

Geum-Ja and Thanos each have special in-game events on January 3rd and 9th respectively, allowing players to unlock them. And for those watching the show, additional in-game Cash and Wild Tokens are up for grabs! Watching up to seven episodes unlocks the Binni Binge-Watcher outfit.

Here's the January content schedule for Squid Game: Unleashed:

• January 3rd: Mingle map and Geum-Ja character launch. The Dalgona Mash Up Collection Event begins (until January 9th), challenging players to complete Mingle-inspired mini-games and collect Dalgona tins.
• January 9th: Thanos arrives with his own recruitment event, the Thanos’ Red Light Challenge. Eliminate players with knives to unlock him (event runs until January 14th).
• January 16th: Yong-Sik joins the game as the final character addition in this update.
