Fans eager to dive into the initial episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will need to venture into Fortnite to catch the series before it streams on Disney+. Epic Games has unveiled an exciting expansion of its Star Wars content, announcing that the first two episodes of the eagerly anticipated animated series will premiere exclusively within Fortnite. This move is part of Epic's strategy to enhance its Star Wars offerings during the upcoming Galactic Battle season, which promises a plethora of Star Wars-themed rewards.
You can experience the premiere of Tales of the Underworld, featuring the adventures of Asajj Ventress, on the Star Wars Watch Party island starting at 10 a.m. ET on May 2. This is a full two days before the series becomes available to Disney+ subscribers. To enhance the experience, Epic encourages fans to link their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts. As a reward, eligible players will receive a First Order Stormtrooper outfit. While the full scope of benefits from linking accounts remains undisclosed, Epic hints at "more benefits to come."
"Disney and Epic are pioneering the future of social entertainment together, and this expansive Star Wars collaboration offers a glimpse into the type of interactive experiences we envision," stated Epic Games President Adam Sussman. "We are reimagining what's possible with immersive storytelling in Fortnite with one of the world's most beloved franchises - stay tuned for a lot more to come."
The Star Wars Watch Party island will be live until May 11, offering viewers the chance to watch both episodes of Tales of the Underworld. In addition to the screenings, the island features a Battle Arena where players can engage in combat using lightsabers against waves of enemies. Those who watch both episodes will be rewarded with an Asajj Ventress loading screen.

Disney's collaboration with Fortnite extends beyond the Galactic Battle season. In March 2024, the House of Mouse acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Epic, setting the stage for long-term partnerships. This strategic move will foster numerous collaborations, including the introduction of more Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar outfits into the popular battle royale game. Notable additions for the next season include Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine.
Since its launch in 2017, Fortnite has continued to dominate the space. Its recent collaborations, such as the one with Sabrina Carpenter, which saw players putting down the pickaxes and putting on their dancing shoes, have kept the game at the forefront of the gaming industry.
