Stellar Blade's highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC update, Patch 1.009, unfortunately introduced several game-breaking glitches. Shift Up, the developers, are actively working on a hotfix to address these issues.
Game-Breaking Bugs and the Hotfix
The update caused significant problems for players. Some experienced softlocks during a specific main quest in an earlier dungeon, preventing further progress. Others reported crashes while using the Photo Mode's selfie camera, and visual issues with new cosmetic items not rendering correctly on Eve.
Shift Up urges players to avoid forcing quest progression and wait for the hotfix. Attempts to bypass the problems might lead to permanent softlocks even after the patch is released.
NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements
Patch 1.009 delivers the exciting NieR: Automata collaboration! The developers highlighted the significant inspiration NieR: Automata provided, praising the collaborative effort between Director Kim Hyung Tae and Director Yoko Taro. Eleven exclusive collaboration items are available via Emil, who's set up shop in the game world.
The much-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges further enhance this feature.
Alongside Photo Mode, four new outfits for Eve and a new accessory (unlocked after completing a specific ending) modifying Tachy Mode's appearance have been added. A "No Ponytail" option expands Eve's customization. Further improvements include lip-sync support for six additional languages, enhanced projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functions for the instant death skill, and various smaller bug fixes for a more polished experience.
