Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, hints at a potential PC port. While the game launched as a PS5 exclusive due to its Sony partnership, recent statements suggest a PC release is under consideration.
Stellar Blade's success, including a top US sales spot in its launch month and an 82 OpenCritic rating, fuels this possibility. During an IPO press conference, CEO Kim Hyung-Tae stated that a PC port is being "considered," although a timeline remains uncertain due to contractual obligations. CFO Jae-woo Ahn emphasized the growing PC market share for AAA titles and expressed optimism about the IP's increased value with a PC release.
PC Port Highly Likely
Shift Up's previous financial report already indicated interest in both a sequel and a PC port of the original game. Coupled with Sony's increasing trend of bringing PlayStation exclusives to PC (like the upcoming God of War: Ragnarok port), a Stellar Blade PC version seems increasingly probable.
Despite this positive outlook, the most recent PS5 update introduced some graphical glitches. Shift Up has acknowledged these issues and is actively working on a fix. While players await a potential PC release, the developer remains focused on optimizing the PS5 experience.
