Stellar Mercenaries has just rolled out a thrilling update with the Jupiter Expansion, significantly expanding the game's universe. If you're new to the game, Stellar Mercenaries is a captivating vertical-scrolling action arcade space shooter where you embark on procedurally generated missions, customize your ships and weapons, and strive to become the solar system's most feared mercenary.
What’s New in the Jupiter Expansion of Stellar Mercenaries?
The Jupiter Expansion transforms the gas giant and its iconic moons—Ganymede, Io, and Europa—into dynamic battlegrounds, each presenting unique challenges. Ganymede's barren wastelands, Io's volcanic debris, Europa's frozen landscapes, and Jupiter's tempestuous storms offer diverse environments to navigate and conquer.
Two new factions enter the fray: the Jovian Empire, a formidable military force aiming to dominate the region, and the Pirate Council, a chaotic alliance of outlaws seeking to disrupt order.
The expansion enriches the game with 50 new missions, featuring a variety of objectives like hyperspace hunting, piracy, escort duties, and train defense missions. Players can now pilot six new ships: the Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker. The arsenal expands with powerful new weapons such as the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam.
There Are New Hazards, Shields, and More
The update introduces Tier 4 shields and armor, elevating your defensive capabilities. New hazards await, including treacherous asteroid fields, elite enemy squadrons, and the formidable Pacifier. Enemies have also leveled up, with new classes like Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk adding to the challenge.
To enhance your experience, the expansion includes 14 new music tracks and introduces a new side missions system. Dive into the expanded world of Stellar Mercenaries by checking it out on the Google Play Store.
