The Capcom Pro Tour has concluded, revealing the 48 competitors for Capcom Cup 11. While the spotlight usually shines on the players, let's analyze the character choices of these elite Street Fighter 6 competitors.
Following the World Warrior circuit, EventHubs compiled statistics on the most frequently used characters at the highest competitive level. This data offers a valuable glimpse into the game's balance. Remarkably, all 24 fighters saw representation, though only one player opted for Ryu among nearly two hundred participants (data included eight regional finalists from 24 regions). Even the recently added Terry Bogard was selected by only two players.
Dominating the professional scene are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each chosen as the main character by 17 players. A significant gap follows, with Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (11 each), and JP and Chun-Li (10 each) forming the next tier. Among the less frequently selected characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each serving as the primary character for seven players.
Capcom Cup 11 will take place in Tokyo this March, with a million-dollar prize awaiting the champion.
