Rocksteady Studios has released the final major content update for their live-service game, *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League*, with the launch of Season 4 Episode 8. This update marks the end of new content development for the game, which received largely negative reviews upon its release in February 2024. Despite the initial excitement around its superhero theme, the game's unexpected shift to a live-service model contributed to its quick decline. Rocksteady announced the cessation of support on December 9, 2024, just 10 months after the game's launch, with the final patch becoming available on January 14, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Season 4 Episode 8, titled "Balance," introduces new content including an Infamy Set inspired by the DC Super-Villain Libra, powerful Notorious weapons, and a new Mayhem mission that serves as the final confrontation with Brainiac. The update also includes significant bug fixes and gameplay adjustments, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels, which are applied retroactively to benefit existing players.
While no further content updates are planned, the game's servers will remain online, allowing players to continue enjoying *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League* with friends. Additionally, the Season 4 Episode 7 update introduced an offline mode, enabling players to experience the main campaign and all seasonal story missions without an internet connection. This feature ensures that the game remains accessible even if the servers are eventually shut down.
For those who missed out on the game during its brief run, *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League* is now available on PlayStation Plus until February 3, 2025, alongside *The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe* and *Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered*.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Patch Notes for Season 4 Episode 8 Update
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------MEDIEVAL GENIUS
Dive deeper into the medieval Elseworld in Episode 8: Balance, where you'll encounter both familiar and new locations. Challenge yourself at The Quarry, a fortified citadel that you must besiege to defeat the tyrant Brainiac. The Arena offers a venue for jousting tournaments or interdimensional battles, while the statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van evoke the spirit of chivalry and honor.
LIBRA INFAMY SET
The Infamy Set for Episode 8 draws inspiration from Libra, a DC Super-Villain fixated on balance. The set applies Scales of Libra stacks to enemies, increasing both the damage they deal and receive by 50% per stack. This set promotes a high-risk, high-reward playstyle, encouraging bold and dynamic combat strategies.
NOTORIOUS WEAPONS
Complementing Libra's Infamy Set, The Silencer's Complete Silence weapons offer a 200% damage bonus to enemies affected by Scales of Libra. The Alt-Fire mode delivers a staggering 1,000% bonus damage and creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage output by 100% within the zone, making it an excellent crowd control tool.
Doctor Sivana's Magic Bullets pierce through enemies, apply Scales of Libra, and have a chance to electrify targets, making them ideal for devastating multiple foes with a single shot.
Chronos' Equilibrium enhances the glass cannon playstyle, boosting damage output by 25% for every 1% of missing Shield, pushing players to engage in high-risk, high-reward combat scenarios.
