ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled
Studio Wildcard has unveiled an ambitious content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, extending through late 2026. This detailed plan outlines a significant expansion of the ARK: Survival Evolved remaster, leveraging Unreal Engine 5 for enhanced performance and introducing a steady stream of new content.
The roadmap kicks off with a crucial technical update in March 2025, transitioning ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade promises substantial performance improvements and the return of Nvidia's frame generation. Simultaneously, the update will streamline the game's installation size by allowing players to download DLC maps individually.
Beyond the technical improvements, the roadmap is packed with new content:
2025:
- April: Free release of Ragnarok Ascended, a Bison (free creature), and a Fantastic Tame.
- June: A new premium map (details to be announced).
- August: Free release of Valguero Ascended, a community-voted free creature, and a Fantastic Tame.
2026:
- April: Free release of Genesis Ascended Part 1 and Bob's True Tales Part 1.
- August: Free release of Genesis Ascended Part 2 and Bob's True Tales Part 2.
- December: Free release of Fjordur Ascended and a community-voted free creature.
- Throughout the year: Three additional Fantastic Tames.
The roadmap highlights a commitment to both free and paid content, balancing community requests with new premium experiences. The addition of remastered Genesis expansions and the Fjordur map signifies a substantial expansion of the game's world. While the roadmap provides a high-level overview, Studio Wildcard hints at potential additional surprises throughout the next two years. The focus remains on delivering a consistently updated and engaging experience for ARK: Survival Ascended players.
