HoYoverse has unveiled an exciting new update for *Tears of Themis* titled the Ballad of the Dunes, a captivating collaboration event with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism. This crossover event masterfully intertwines the thrill of detective work with the enchanting heritage of Dunhuang, a city nestled on the edge of the Gobi Desert. Let's delve into what the Ballad of the Dunes brings to the world of *Tears of Themis*.
This event is a tapestry of history, romance, and mystery, set against the backdrop of the ancient Silk Road. Players will embark on a journey to solve intriguing mysteries amidst the vibrant cultural setting of Dunhuang. The Ballad of the Dunes introduces an array of new content, highlighted by four new MR cards featuring the beloved characters Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius. Each card reflects distinct elements of Dunhuang's rich culture, showcasing flying apsaras, detailed murals, and the iconic pipa played in the traditional back-held style, reminiscent of the ancient performers in the Mogao Caves. The Silk Road, a historical conduit of art, culture, and trade from the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD), is brought to life in this digital realm by HoYoverse.
Each of the new cards tells a unique story: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." What Are the Rewards?
From February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can earn a variety of rewards by completing event tasks. These rewards include Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other exciting items. The main event challenge involves flipping cells on a game board to uncover these rewards. The ultimate prize is the Ballad of the Dunes MR card pack, allowing players to select one of the four MR cards as their final reward in each round. Achieving the feat of flipping 100 cells grants the exclusive Celebration – Dunes Namecard.
