During Sony’s State of Play 2025, the gaming world got its first look at Tides of Annihilation, a thrilling new single-player, narrative-driven action adventure game from the newly established studio, Eclipse Glow Games. The debut trailer showcased a game that promises to merge intense, fast-paced combat with a deep, immersive storyline set against a backdrop that's sure to captivate players.
Set in a modern-day London transformed by mystical otherworldly forces, Tides of Annihilation places you in the shoes of Gwendolyn, the last human survivor. As Gwendolyn, you'll navigate through London's iconic landmarks, summoning spectral Knights of the Round Table to aid you in combat against enemies inspired by Arthurian legend. The game also features epic battles against skyscraper-sized bosses, adding a grand scale to the adventure.
Eclipse Glow Games, based in Chengdu, China, and backed by investment from Tencent, comprises over 100 developers with experience from renowned franchises such as Yakuza, For Honor, Assassin’s Creed, Persona, and Prince of Persia. Kun Fu, Lead Game Producer at Eclipse Glow Games, expressed his excitement about debuting Tides of Annihilation at Sony State of Play, calling it a significant milestone for the team.
“It’s also just the beginning,” Fu added. “We’ve crafted a world that reimagines the Arthurian Legend, blending themes of courage, loyalty, and heroism into an epic story set in a strangely familiar yet twisted setting. This game will challenge true gamers and push the boundaries of the genre forward.”

Tides of Annihilation is a single-player, narrative-driven title set in a twisted version of modern London cataclysmically altered by an otherworldly invasion. Taking on the role of Gwendolyn, humanity’s lone survivor, players embark on a legendary quest through London’s iconic environs to unravel a mystery that will determine the fate of reality itself.
