Dynasty Warriors: Origins, while not open-world, features a sizable map that can become challenging to navigate as the game progresses. The increasing number of accessible provinces and unlocked skirmishes/requests necessitate frequent backtracking. Fortunately, fast travel significantly reduces this travel time, especially for players aiming to complete all side content.
How to Utilize Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Fast travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is facilitated through Waymarks accessible via the in-game map. Before fast traveling, Waymarks must be unlocked. To unlock a Waymark, approach it on the world map and hold the X button (PlayStation) or A button (Xbox). Unlocked Waymarks then appear on the map screen, enabling direct fast travel.
Access the map by interacting with an unlocked Waymark on the world map or by pausing the game and navigating to the Map menu using the shoulder buttons. PlayStation users can conveniently access the map by pressing the DualSense touchpad while on the world map, saving time.
On the map screen, hovering over an unlocked Waymark displays nearby key locations and battles. Press Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) to toggle information visibility. Use Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) to cycle through battles and locations; selecting one will move the cursor to the nearest Waymark.
