The allegations, stemming from claims by a former Twitch employee, involve Dr Disrespect's alleged inappropriate conduct with a minor via Twitch's Whispers feature. These claims, while vehemently denied by Dr Disrespect, have prompted several partners to reconsider their relationships.
Turtle Beach confirmed to IGN the termination of its sponsorship, removing Dr Disrespect's merchandise from its website. This follows Midnight Society's earlier decision to end its association with the streamer, despite initially assuming his innocence.
Dr Disrespect maintains his innocence, asserting that the matter was resolved with Twitch in 2020 and that no illegal activity occurred. He has also announced a temporary break from streaming, potentially extending his planned vacation in light of the current situation. The duration of his hiatus and future plans remain unclear.
