The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone might have a head start. This guide explains how to utilize Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6.
Understanding Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Following the Season 01 update, many Black Ops 6 and Warzone players discovered an abundance of previously unseen XP tokens. While initially usable for boosting XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression, a November 15th update addressed an issue preventing their activation within the Black Ops 6 interface.
These Legacy XP Tokens are unused tokens carried over from previous Call of Duty titles, accessible through the COD HQ app. Games like Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, and Warzone offered various ways to earn them, including DMZ missions, Battle Pass tiers, and brand promotions. Any tokens acquired remain usable in Warzone.

Using Warzone XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
At the Season 01 launch, players could directly activate Warzone Legacy XP tokens within Black Ops 6. However, this functionality was temporarily removed. A workaround involved activating the tokens in Warzone and then launching Black Ops 6, where the token and its timer would appear. While requiring switching between games and featuring a real-time countdown, this method provided a faster leveling experience.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
