Pokemon Center Hiroshima Relocates, Unveils Gyarados Plaza
Pokemon Center Hiroshima will temporarily close its doors at the end of March 2025, reopening at a new location in April 2025. A new Gyarados-themed playground, the Gyarados Plaza, will debut in March 2025.
New Location for Pokemon Center Hiroshima
The store's new address will be the second floor of Ekie, located at the north exit of Hiroshima Station. Currently situated on the 6th floor of Sogo Hiroshima’s Main Building, the store has been a Hiroshima landmark since its opening in June 2015.
Gyarados Plaza Opens at Hiroshima Station
The "Gyarados Plaza by Pokemon Center Hiroshima" will open on March 24, 2025, on the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza, part of the new Minamoa building at Hiroshima Station. This playground features large Gyarados-themed play equipment. Initially, reservations will be required to access the playground equipment; details will be released on the official Minamoa website.
Poke-lun TV Nationwide Event
To celebrate "Poke-lun TV" surpassing 1 million subscribers, participating Pokemon Centers nationwide (including Hiroshima, before its closure) will host an event from January 17th to February 16th, 2025. Fans can receive an exclusive sticker by obtaining a password from a specific Poke-lun TV YouTube video (posted December 19, 2024) and presenting it at any participating Pokemon Center.
Select Pokemon Centers (Mega Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa) will also feature photo opportunities with Poke-lun TV hosts. The event excludes Pokemon Stores, Pokemon Center Online, Pokemon Cafes, and Pikachu Sweets by Pokemon Cafe.
