Fresh from Pocket Gamer Connects London, we got our hands on some exciting new games, and one standout title was the word-based puzzler, WordPix.
WordPix presents players with simple images and challenges them to guess the associated words. Think "lizard" for a scaly reptile, or "capybara" for a certain large rodent. While the core concept is straightforward, it's a surprisingly engaging way to sharpen your mind on the go.
To keep things interesting, WordPix offers a variety of game modes. You can play solo or compete against others in multiplayer. For a tougher challenge, try the "Beat the Boss" mode. Daily challenges, including "Word of the Day" and "Quote of the Day," and even a Sudoku mode, add extra layers of fun and replayability.
WordPix's appeal is clear: a clean, user-friendly interface, an easily grasped concept that gradually increases in difficulty, and plenty of variations to keep players hooked. We're hoping to see more content added as the game launches globally this year. Currently, it's available on iOS in the US and UK, and on Android in the UK.
