Phoebe and Brant have been officially confirmed as the next 5-Star Rinascita characters coming to Wuthering Waves in Version 2.1. Based on in-game lore and appearances, Phoebe is believed to be a Spectro unit, while Brant is likely a sword-wielding character. Both will play key roles in future story developments, continuing the expansion of Rinascita’s rich narrative and gameplay experience.
With Wuthering Waves’ 2.0 update already delivering an expansive new chapter in the game's storyline, players have enjoyed fresh explorable areas and the introduction of the Rinascita region. Among the notable additions was Carlotta, a powerful 5-Star Glacio DPS unit wielding pistols, who has become a valuable asset in many player teams. Her banner is currently active alongside Zhezhi’s until January 23. Following her, Roccia, a Havoc unit, will take center stage with her own banner, rounding out the current update.
Despite 2.0 still being in full swing, anticipation for Version 2.1 is building rapidly. Developer Kuro Games has fueled this excitement by officially announcing Phoebe and Brant as the upcoming 5-Star units. According to the planned release schedule shared via Wuthering Waves’ official Twitter account, Phoebe is expected to arrive in Phase 1 of 2.1, with Brant following in Phase 2.
While their exact weapon types and Elements remain unconfirmed, players familiar with the game’s lore have drawn conclusions based on their in-game roles. Phoebe, an Acolyte of the Order of the Deep, exhibits traits that align with the Spectro resonance. Meanwhile, Brant, the captain of the Fool's Troupe and a fellow member of Roccia’s group, appears to be a sword-wielding character.
With Phoebe and Brant confirmed, only Zani remains unannounced among the core Rinascita cast. Kuro Games had previously teased Zani in promotional materials, suggesting that he may appear in a future update beyond 2.1. Additional characters are also rumored to be part of the 2.0 content cycle, though official details are yet to be released.
Looking ahead, the 2.0 update is expected to conclude around mid-February. In addition to the new characters, the patch introduced a premium skin for the beloved unit Jinhsi. Players can also look forward to obtaining Sanhua’s skin for free through an event starting on January 23, offering even more ways to customize and enhance their squads.
As Wuthering Waves continues to expand its universe and deepen its roster of playable characters, fans can expect increasingly dynamic combat experiences and deeper narrative engagement in the updates to come.
