Microsoft has officially unveiled the Xbox Game Pass May 2025 Wave 1 lineup, featuring a collection of exciting titles that gamers can look forward to. In a recent post on Xbox Wire, the tech giant announced 12 games set to join its subscription service, spanning various platforms and genres. These additions bring the lineup up to May 20th, offering something for everyone.
One of the highlights is Doom: The Dark Ages, the latest installment in id Software's iconic first-person shooter series. As a Microsoft-owned game, it will be available on day one through the Game Pass service. However, it isn’t the only game making its debut on May 20th.
Launching today, May 6th, is Dredge (available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S). This title is set to land on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. According to Microsoft, Dredge combines elements of fishing and adventure, set against a mysterious backdrop. Players will dive into a world where selling catches, upgrading boats, and uncovering hidden secrets are key to survival.
May 7th brings several notable entries, including *Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2* (available on Cloud, Console, and PC), launching across all tiers of Game Pass. Additionally, *Dungeons of Hinterberg* (Console), *Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn* (Xbox Series X|S), and *Metal Slug Tactics* (Console) will also be available on Game Pass Standard.A standout addition on May 8th is Revenge of the Savage Planet (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S). As a day-one Game Pass title, it will be accessible via Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The game thrusts players into a dystopian future where corporate greed has thrown the planet off balance. Armed with limited resources, players must navigate dangerous terrain, collect upgrades, and outwit their adversaries to exact revenge and return home.
Also debuting on May 8th is *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed* (Cloud, Console, and PC). Available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, this title invites fans to join the iconic turtle brothers in an epic adventure filled with crime-fighting and chaos.On May 13th, gamers can revisit the thrilling world of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (Cloud and Console), which returns to the Game Pass library. Set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles universe, this cooperative first-person shooter challenges players to team up and battle the forces of Chaos and Skaven. The sequel introduces new factions, career paths, weapons, and an enhanced loot system.
The main event arrives on May 15th with the highly anticipated release of Doom: The Dark Ages. As a prequel to Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, this title promises an immersive narrative that expands on the Doom Slayer's legend. With up to 2-day early access and additional DLC content, players can dive straight into the medieval war against Hell.
Following closely on May 16th is *Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo* (Cloud, Console, and PC). This papercraft adventure takes players through the enigmatic realm of Limbo, where souls trapped by regret relive the same day endlessly.Wrapping up the May 2025 Wave 1 lineup on May 20th are two simulation games: Firefighting Simulator: The Squad and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers. Both titles will be available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard.
Leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 15:
