Following a reported apology from Microsoft, Jyamma Games has revised its stance on the delayed Xbox release of its debut title, Enotria: The Last Song. However, a firm release date remains elusive.
Microsoft's Apology Resolves Enotria Xbox Release Delays
Jyamma Games Expresses Gratitude to Phil Spencer and the Community
Jyamma Games received an apology from Microsoft after delays in the Xbox certification process for Enotria: The Last Song lasted over two months. This delay, initially met with frustration by the developer, led to the announcement of an indefinite postponement of the Xbox release.
Jyamma CEO Jacky Greco previously voiced his disappointment on the game's Discord, stating Microsoft's lack of response and expressing concern over the investment made in porting the game.
However, Microsoft's intervention and subsequent apology changed the situation. Jyamma Games publicly thanked Phil Spencer and his team on Twitter (X) for their swift response and assistance. The studio also acknowledged the significant support from its player community.
Jyamma Games is now actively collaborating with Microsoft to expedite the Xbox release, though a concrete date remains unconfirmed.
Greco further elaborated on the Discord server, confirming Microsoft's apology and their commitment to resolving the issue.
The challenges faced by Jyamma Games are not unique. Funcom recently reported optimization problems with the Xbox Series S port of Dune: Awakening.
While the PS5 and PC versions of Enotria: The Last Song are still slated for September 19th, the Xbox release remains uncertain. For more details on Enotria: The Last Song, please see the link below.
