It also supports popular radio models such as Blaupunkt, Becker, Alpine, 6000CD, 6006CD, SONY, 4500RDS E-O-N, 5000RDS, 3000RDS, Travelpilot, RNS MDF, Concert, Gamma, Symphony, and RNS300/RNS310/RNS500/RNS510, MF2910.
Entering your radio code is a straightforward process:
- Repeatedly press the pre-determined button 1 until the first digit of the code appears on the screen.
- Repeat this process with buttons 2, 3, and 4 to enter the remaining digits.
- Ensure you have entered the radio code correctly and press the confirm button. Depending on your radio model, the confirm button can be 5, *, or >. For example, on the Ford 6000CD, you confirm with 5, on the Sony unit with *, and on most VW, Audi, Skoda, and Seat models with > (arrow right).
If your radio displays "SAFE", "LOCKED", "WAIT", or "ERROR", it's because all radios have a protection system against brute-force code entry. Since the code is 4 digits, it would take a maximum of 9999 attempts to find it. To prevent this, radios will lock after three unsuccessful attempts. Here’s how to handle common lockouts:
- Ford: If your Ford radio shows "WAIT", leave it powered on for 30 minutes. If you see "LOCKED" or "LOCKED10", hold button 6 for ten seconds to get another three attempts. If "LOCKED13" appears, you have a semi-permanent block that can only be resolved by a dealer.
- VW (Volkswagen): When three unsuccessful attempts are made, VW radios display "SAFE" or "SAFE2". To re-enter a code, you must leave the unit on for 60 minutes.
